New Ground Technology, Inc. introduced its patented TurfPrinter technology during the San Francisco Giants’ home opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The iconic SF Giants logo, prominently displayed in center field, is a first for the MLB franchise and a first for New Ground Technology. The 160 foot image was produced from the GPS guided TurfPrinter and cloud-based media.

“This is the first time on planet earth, and on the SF Giants’ home field, that digital technology has been used to print an image by a machine on turf.”

Said Pete Davis, President and Founder of New Ground Technology.

New Ground’s patterning techniques are based on traditional lawn striping. TurfPrinter’s advanced digital technology enables the creation of complex, high-definition imagery on sports fields, golf courses, hotel properties, and other locations. According to New Ground, the promotional possibilities are growing all around.

New Ground Technology’s TurfPrinter reproduces images from nearly any source as enlarged, high-contrast images on natural turf surfaces. The images are designed to surprise and delight fans and to energize special events.

Formed in 2015, New Ground Technology is on track to be the worldwide purveyor for groundbreaking promotional media and digital agriculture. NGT is a privately held Delaware corporation with offices in Pleasanton, CA.
